![]() ![]() If you buy new, except for FA, you made need to replace parts to make the rifle functional. As others have stated the dilemma with carbines is that if you buy GI, unless you know what to look for you, could be expending additional monies for replacement parts. The new Inlands obtain there parts from the same company as AO, I'm not sure if the extra money would be worth it. AO's are very accurate (Green Mountain barrels.), but not the quality of FA. I have an AO, but it did not function right until I replaced the magazine catch (easy 5 minute job). If the price of the complete FA is not feasible consider purchasing the FA barreled receiver and then purchase the trigger assembly from FA or a company which sales GI assemblies plus trigger parts and springs. ![]() They function beautifully and look spectacular. They are 100% USGI spec/compatible (they use surplus components where available). If a new production M1 Carbine is desired, then the only answer is Fulton. ![]()
